Colonial Williamsburg

I can start off by saying that there was NOBODY there which is good and bad.

There were fewer than 20 cars in the parking lot and by 3pm there had only been 35 visitors to the historic capital building. Beyond it being the off season for tourists we still had a blast. Since it was January, and a weekday, only a handful of buildings were open to the public and on most of our tours we were the only couple.

We did lots of walking and had to purchase "contraband" since our camera batteries died. Seeing craftsmen work trades from cabinet making to book binding was my favorite part.

I would highly recommend visiting, just maybe not in the middle of winter.
