$70 later from Subaru and H&H Automotive we have peace of mind that Minnie Winne will make the journey. So she is showing her wear, but what car isn't when they have as many miles as she does. It turns out my after market brakes are causing vibrations and binding when turning. They did say my rack and pinion will eventually need replacing but hopefully she will make it to California without further incident.
