Our Long Drives

From Austin to Marfa and Marfa to Santa Fe we had our longest drives thus far. Below are a few photos of what we saw and how we kept ourselves occupied.

Air Force tethered aerostat radar balloon. It looked like a UFO just sitting on the horizon west of Marfa, TX.

Our final 30 minutes before we reached Santa Fe.

I was so happy to see this sign. It meant our long drive out of Texas was over.

Great name for a liquor store in Marfa, TX.

I found this on a roadside attraction website. It is the world's largest roadrunner, Paisano Pete.

West Texas. Not much more than what you see.

How I ride.

How Billy rides. When you spend 8.5 hours in a car you find creative ways to not be bored.

What the backseat of the Minnie Winne looks like now after adding one cooler full of meat, clothes for Vietnam, Christmas gifts, subwoofer, and seven small speakers. We can't even recline the seats.
